| Originally built in 1875 as South
Central School. In 1964 Governor General George Vanier
chaired the opening ceremonies as the building became
the original campus of Trent University. The founders
of Trent University renamed the facility Rubidge Hall.
In 1985 the building took on a new life as a home for
seniors.
In
2002 we completely renovated Rubidge from
the lower level to the top floor, including the creation
of 21 new luxury one bedroom and four two bedroom suites.
One look and you will agree that Rubidge Retirement
Residence is now one of the finest homes in the region.
We at Rubidge feel we have created a loving home for our residents, that meets
the needs of our senior's in a way that very few homes do.
